New publication from SCOLED in Physical Review Letters

SCOLED researchers at the University of Exeter have published a new letter in Physical Review Letters on the subject of hyperbolic surface polaritons (HSPs). While most studies of HSPs utilise optical phonon modes in the infrared spectrum, this work shows that excitonic modes in thin films of dye molecules can be used to study HSPs in the visible spectrum. This work identifies distinguishing features of HSPs and lays the groundwork for a new research area in the field of organic nanophotonics.
